Nurture with Nature: Skin Soothers for Summer
Extended sun exposure, travel, and humidity can dehydrate and irritate your skin. That’s where plants come in. Lavender and peppermint are two time-honored herbs that offer cooling, calming, and anti-inflammatory relief—perfect for after-sun care or daily restoration.
Whether you’re returning from a beach day or winding down from the heat, these botanicals can help tone down redness, restore the skin’s natural barrier, and invite a moment of self-kindness.

🌿 A Note from the Garden: Yarrow's Quiet Strength
This month, Yarrow is unfurling its delicate clusters of pink blossoms, standing tall despite the summer heat. While its appearance is gentle, Yarrow carries an ancient strength—known as a protector plant, it’s been used for centuries to stop wounds from bleeding and to shield both body and spirit.
In the garden, Yarrow bridges the energies of the Heart and Crown Chakras—offering both emotional healing and spiritual insight. It's the kind of plant that teaches quiet resilience: how to hold your space with softness and strength.
I like to work with Yarrow when I feel energetically scattered or emotionally overextended. Whether in a tea, a tincture, or simply admired in the soil, it invites us back to ourselves.
For the skin it is fabulous for inflammation, repair, and toning. Stay tuned for some seasonal products with yarrow!

🌿 DIY : Peppermint Cooling Mist
Fill a bottle 3/4 of the way with cooled strongly steeped peppermint tea and fill the rest of the bottle with aloe vera juice. You'll want to use this in a few days since there is no preservative.
*Store in the fridge for an extra cooling effect!
Use after a warm shower, during hot summer days, or to cool your skin after time outdoors. Mist your face, neck, chest—or even your feet—for instant refreshment.
Bonus: It can double as a scalp mist for post-sun care or sweaty days!
